The Never Ending Battle of Best Buy

It has come to my attention that we are always striving to find the best that we can have, whether that product incorporates technology or is simply a product from another range. We always think that we should get the best, and everything until we find that miraculous product is obsolete. We think that anything but the best will do. But then we take that product home and realise.

We begin to realise that if we had gotten any of those products that we were looking at that we would be happy. That the device, whether it be a camera or computer, would have been satisfactorily. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t research your purchase, I’m just saying to have a look at different products in different lights. It is probable that you will eventually find some product that will not suit your needs, and that for the most part you will be happy with your purchase.

Installing Windows 8

After you’ve read my previous article on choosing the best OS, you may in fact be wondering how to install an OS and if you could do it. The answer to that is yes, all you have to do is follow the steps, and once its finished installing you’ll be wondering how you ever doubted yourself!

In this tutorial we will be going through the how to install Windows 8, as this is the latest version of Windows and one in which most users will be upgrading to.

 Some of the things that you’ll need for this tutorial are:

  • Valid Serial Number for Windows 8 Activation
  • Windows 8 Disc/Download (For Upgrade – Not Clean Install)
  • An Internet Connection or Optical Drive

Windows 8 – Pros and Cons

Upgrading an OS (Operating System) can be a hard decision, especially if you are buying a new decision and wondering what OS to run. Windows 8 is a great operating system, but for some people may end up being too much of a leap. Windows is known (or notorious) for its new start menu, designed for the typical touch screen user. Sadly not many of us computer users have touch screen users, so the novelty of Windows 8 is ‘gone’, but it is still useable, and very, very user friendly, when being compared to the desktop (normal) windows mode (which is fortunately still there if anyone is wondering.
